The Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota is currently seeking an:
Assistant or Associate Professor in
Dairy Fractionation and Separation Science

Join FScN’s growing team of researchers and academics as a faculty member in Dairy Fractionation and Separation Science. We invite candidates with a passion for developing technologies to enable the creation of value-added dairy products with emphasis on dairy fractionation and separation science and for the development of advanced processing technologies and ingredients. This includes the development of clean-label ingredients with specific nutritional or functional properties and sustainable processing techniques that reduce water and energy usage.

This position will be a nine-month, tenure-track appointment involving 50% research and 50% teaching that supports the mission of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition. This position will support the Midwest Dairy Foods Research Center as well as various other initiatives in food resource utilization, such as the UMN Plant Protein Innovation Center. An integral part of the position is that the appointee will be expected to actively engage in developing a cultural climate where all are welcome and able to achieve their educational and professional goals.
