The Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota is currently seeking an:
Assistant Professor in

Clinical Nutrition

Join FScN’s growing team of researchers and academics as a faculty member in Clinical Nutrition. This position will be a nine-month, tenure-track appointment involving 50% research and 50% teaching that supports the mission of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition. The appointee is expected to develop a strong extramurally funded research program that focuses on clinical nutrition in the treatment or prevention of diet-related chronic diseases. The University of Minnesota offers outstanding opportunities to collaborate with investigators within the Department, the College, the Health Sciences Education Center, and the School of Public Health.

Candidates are required to have earned a doctorate in addition to RD/RDN credentials by the start date. Preference will be given to candidates who have conducted post-doctoral research or relevant professional experience in clinical nutrition and medical nutrition therapy, especially with underserved populations at disproportionately high risk of diet-related chronic disease. An integral part of the position is that the appointee will be expected to actively engage in developing a cultural climate where all are welcome and able to achieve their educational and professional goals.
