About
The Student Nutrition Advocacy Collaborative (SNAC) is in partnership with Food Science and Nutrition. SNAC peer educators are a group of trained undergraduates studying nutrition who can answer questions and provide practical, trustworthy nutrition information to help students eat healthy—even on a budget.

What is a SNAC Nutrition Check-up?
During this one-on-one meeting with a SNAC peer educator, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss a nutrition challenge you are facing. SNAC peer educators are trained to address issues related to increasing energy, fueling for activity, and meal planning. This can be an especially helpful resource for students who are living independently for the first time, and need assistance navigating their altered food landscape.
Before your appointment, you can complete a 24-Hour Food Record to discuss with your peer educator.
At your one-on-one meeting you’ll discuss what a typical day of eating looks like for you. Then you’ll have an opportunity to discuss your nutrition concerns. At the end of the appointment, you’ll be able to set a goal with the new information you’ve gained to help you achieve your desired health outcomes.
SNAC appointments are not a replacement for medical care. If you are seeking nutrition help for a new diagnosis, eating disorder, or weight management, please schedule an appointment with a dietitian at Boynton Health.
