FScN Building Renewal

The Food Science and Nutrition building on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus in St. Paul has served its teaching and research purpose mightily for almost 70 years. But, the building’s infrastructure is no longer compatible with modern research and teaching needs. Its outdated facilities hinder the research, teaching, and learning that is possible inside.

The University of Minnesota and Minnesota State Legislature have recognized the critical need for upgrades to keep our land-grant university and state innovating in the fields of food science and nutrition. With $30 million already committed from the University and $25 million from the Legislature, the Food Science and Nutrition building will be brought into much-needed compliance with current accessibility regulations, utility standards and safety guidelines.
