Biography

Brittany is a Food Science PhD student in Dr. Ismail's Plant Protein Innovation Center at the University of Minnesota. Fueled by her educational background in nutrition and dietetics, she is passionate about the connection that exists between human and environmental health. Her doctoral research involves blending selected plant proteins to optimize functionality, flavor, and nutrition of the blend. Outside of the lab, Brittany enjoys traveling, getting to know her new home of the Twin Cities, and volunteering her free time.
