This month, we hosted an event to commemorate 50 years of Professor Ted Labuza’s legacy. It is impossible to quantify the effect Dr. Labuza has had on the field of food science and beyond. International leaders in the food industry gathered together to tell stories and anecdotes about the impact Ted had on their lives, careers, and the profession itself. It is generally understood that his far-reaching influence changed the very trajectory of how we understand food stability, safety, processing, and much more.
