The Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota is currently seeking an:
Assistant Professor in
Bioconversion and Upcycling of Food Byproducts

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about exploring ways that novel or underutilized crops and byproducts from agri-food industry can be used as food ingredients or in the formulation of novel foods that are sustainable, healthy, and appealing. Those with expertise in agricultural and food byproduct utilization, sustainable bioprocessing and agri-food conversions, particularly in fermentation and enzymatic transformations, are especially encouraged to apply.

This position will be a nine-month, tenure-track appointment involving research and teaching that supports the mission of the Department. The University of Minnesota is committed to the policy that all persons shall have equal access to its programs, facilities, and employment.
