All of our faculty do outreach in the community and at the state, national and international levels. Some of our faculty speak to outside groups, work with food companies, media consultants, etc. to inform the public in the Food Science and Nutrition areas.


Some of our faculty work with University of Minnesota Extension. See some of the extension programs that our extension faculty are involved with and some of their publications.

Our department also offers short courses on various topics from time to time such as Food Chemistry, Flavor Chemistry and Microbiology and Engineering of Sterilization Processes.
