B.S. in Food Science from the University of Missouri - Columbia
Biography
I am a Mizzou alumni who studied Food Science and Nutrition for my undergraduate degree. I am currently working as a graduate research assistant under Dr. Zata Vickers and Dr. Job Ubbink at the University of Minnesota with a thesis project that involves texturizing modified and non modified plant protein for meat analogues using extrusion and microcompounding.
I worked as a Sensory Analyst for Dairy Farmers of America (August 2019- August 2020) after receiving my BS in Food Science from the University of Missouri. I also spent my final year of undergraduate at Lincoln University in New Zealand, where I expanded my FS industry view and curriculum on a global level.
My previous industry experience includes a Product Development internship with Nestle-Gerber in Fremont, MI (2016) and an Ingredient Applications internship with Hilmar Ingredients (2017).
