Biography
My name is Akua Okyere a Ph.D. candidate in Food Science at the University
of Minnesota Twin cities. Before that, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Ghana. I am a highly motivated and detail-oriented research scientist with over 4 years of experience in food science. My Ph.D. research is focused on utilizing cold plasma technology, an eco-friendly technology to modify the molecular, physicochemical, functional, and morphological properties of starches. I am passionate about ensuring that food is safe and of the highest quality, and available all year round.
Authored a research article in an impactful journal. An effective team player, a fast learner with great adaptability skills, and with expertise in project management, oral and written communication.
