Professor Ted Labuza receiving his 50 year award from VaidhyThe department's chapter of Phi Tau Sigma, the honor society for food science and technology, recently received the distinction of a Chapter of Excellence, as announced by the organization. The group will be recognized in the Phi Tau Sigma newsletter and at the 2019 Phi Tau Sigma and IFT Division Competition Awards Ceremony.

In addition to the group award, Professor Ted Labuza received his 50 year anniversary award from Phi Tau Sigma.

Each year, Phi Tau Sigma chapters are recognized for their exemplary volunteer service, excellence in leadership and dedication to the food science and technology profession. FScN's chapter exceeded the criteria as established by the Chapters Affairs Committee and approved by the Phi Tau Sigma Board.
